Prof. Klaus Lindpaintner, MD, MPH, FACP currently serves as Vice President of R&D and Chief Scientific Officer at SDIX,
a specialty immuno-solutions provider with a proprietary position in genomic antibody technology. Prior to this he held
senior management positions at F. Hoffmann-La Roche, most recently as director of the "Roche Molecular Medicine Laboratories"
in Basel, coordinating the company's efforts and activities in implementing biomarker research in genetics, genomics, and proteomics
in support of personalized healthcare-based drug discovery and development. Previously, he pursued clinical practice in Cardiology
and Genetics and academic research in molecular genetics and genetic epidemiology while an Associate Professor of Medicine at
Harvard Medical School.
He graduated from Innsbruck University Medical School with a degree in Medicine and from Harvard University with a degree in
Public Health, pursued postgraduate training and specialization in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Genetics in the United
States and Germany, and holds board certifications these specialties. He has co-authored more than 200 scientific papers
and currently holds honorary and adjunct professorships at several academic institutions. He has served on numerous working
groups and advisory panels for trade organizations, regulatory authorities, and non-governmental organizations on issues
related to ethical and societal impact of novel technologies in biomedicine.
