Eric Cook's career includes over 25 years of leadership in the application of science and technology in sectors including advanced manufacturing, space science, aerospace, and wireless communications. His education includes a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering and a masters of business administration, a combination that has served him well in seeking science-based solutions for business problems and opportunities. His professional designations include P.Eng. and ICD.D. He has been an active board member for organizations including Genome Atlantic, the New Brunswick Innovation Foundation, Innoventures Canada, the Center for Nuclear Energy Research, and the New Brunswick Environmental Industries Association. He has also served in a number of expert panels and committees.
Mr. Cook’s accomplishments include serving as the project engineer for Canada’s first interplanetary space instrument (a mission to Mars), and the General Manager of an internationally recognized visual factory, COM DEV Wireless.
Mr. Cook is the Executive Director and CEO of the Research and Productivity Council (RPC), New Brunswick’s provincial research organization. RPC is a research and technology organization, a crown corporation offering contract research & development, and technical services. RPC provides technical expertise to 1000 clients annually.
