Ottawa, Ontario, July 9, 2014 — Members of the Cancer Stem Cell Consortium (CSCC) today welcomed the announcement of a new Canadian initiative to fight cancer and the unveiling of plans for a major televised fundraising event to take place on September 5.
Lorne Hepworth, who has served as Chair of Genome Canada’s Board of Directors since September 2012, will become an inductee to the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame through a formal ceremony scheduled to take place on November 9, 2014 in Toronto. He is one of three accomplished ambassadors for Canadian agriculture who will join the ranks of this prestigious association this year.
